Abuse
Too many relationships and families suffer from some form of abuse, whether physical or emotional/psychological. The tendency oftentimes is to excuse or deny that the abuse is happening.
Living in fear of an abusive family member, wondering when the next incident is going to take place, feeling hopeless and alone, even afraid to seek help, these are hallmarks of being caught in the cycle of abuse.
If you or any family member is being subjected to excessive control or criticism, humiliation, chronic blaming, physical violence, or any other behavior that invokes fear or anxiety, know that no one should have to live in an abusive environment and there is help available.
